ORIGINAL GUIDE // UPDATED JULY 17, 2026

Build a calm, compatible GTA VI launch setup.

This checklist separates confirmed Rockstar information from the choices you can make now. It avoids invented PC requirements, frame-rate promises, and rumor-driven purchases.

01

Confirm the platform

  • Use Rockstar's official page for supported platforms and release information.
  • Match the game edition to the correct store region and account.
  • Do not assume a PC version or specification until Rockstar publishes it.
02

Prepare the system

  • Install current system software.
  • Review free storage without deleting irreplaceable files.
  • Test controller charging, display input, audio, and network stability.
03

Protect the experience

  • Enable account security and save recovery codes safely.
  • Review accessibility, subtitle, privacy, and communication settings.
  • Set a budget before buying optional accessories.

Display and audio decisions that transfer to any game

Choose a display around seating distance, room lighting, supported inputs, and the console features you actually use. A higher number is not automatically a better experience. For audio, compare comfort, microphone quality, connection type, and whether the device works on your platform without an adapter.
